Get ready for another supersonic punch, baby! The Flash's Girder is back in action.

Tony Woodward (Greg Finley) spent his childhood picking on a pre-teen Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), and he became twice as vicious after tumbling into a vat of molten steel during the particle accelerator explosion. Earth-1 Girder ultimately met his end at the hands of Blackout, but either he or his Earth-2 doppelganger will return to torment Central City in "The Runaway Dinosaur."

It's too bad the populace no longer has the Scarlet Speedster to defend them (adios, supersonic punch). Powers or no powers, Barry won't even be in town when Girder drops by for episode 21.

"With Barry gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy - Girder," The CW teased. "Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life."

In short, the interestingly titled "The Runaway Dinosaur" will fit neatly into Barry's end-of-season emotional rollercoaster.

"We shot some big little scenes yesterday that will break your heart and speed-force it back together again in that way only #TheFlash can," director Kevin Smith teased during filming. The geek guru may have also hinted at Girder's return when he told fans "we're shooting a scene today that timely ties into something special from one of my favorite Season 1 episodes."

In a follow up to Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Henry's (john Wesley Shipp) little episode 20 feud, Barry's dad will also have a role to play in the May 10 hour.
