Troubled actress Amanda Bynes is currently seeking a plea deal in regards to the case of driving with a suspended license, according to an E! News report published Tuesday night.

The online entertainment news magazine originally reported earlier on Tuesday that Bynes was a no-show for a hearing scheduled to be held at the Burbank courthouse.

Judge Margaret Oldendorf granted a continuance in advance but stressed to Bynes' attorney, Richard Hutton that the case, which has been ongoing since October, needed to be wrapped up in the near future.

The case stems from an incident last fall in which Bynes was charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving with a suspended license, both of which she pleaded not guilty.

According to E! News, the Burbank court must receive notarized forms from Bynes in order for a plea deal to be accepted. However, the news site reported that these papers may soon be in the hands of the court after photos surfaced today of Bynes rushing around New York City with a FedEx envelope in tow.

The actress has been making headlines for everything but her acting chops of late, including some bizarre tweets, photos and makeovers.

Last month, Bynes tweeted out photos of herself which featured piercings in each cheek as well as risqué clothing.

Not long after, Bynes tweeted "I want ‪@drake to murder my v*****", a sexual reference involving the R&B artist. Bynes had tweeted earlier in March that Drake is a "hot fellow".

Last week she posted more self pics in which she donned neon blue lipstick and long eyelashes.

The maligned actress also tweeted out threats that she planned to file lawsuits against Us Weekly and Perez Hilton after claiming she was upset with their coverage of her behavior. Her legal threats have since ceased, though she still seems to harbor anger at particular entertainment newsers.

"When you write me on twitter and I ignore you it's because I plan on ignoring you on twitter and in life forever," Bynes wrote recently.
