The AMC network made the announcement on Wednesday that the second part of season 5 of Breaking Bad will be kicking off on August 11.  The popular series, which is going into its final stretch, has been on a year long hiatus since airing its first eight episodes of the current season.

Although no new spoilers have come out in the last few days, below are the latest updates on the highly anticipated series.

Judging by the behind-the-scenes footage of the remaining episodes, actors Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Bob Odenkirk all stressed that the upcoming installments will include some big surprises, which includes a highly intense Jesse and Saul scene and "a roller coaster ride from hell," according to Flavor Wire.

In terms of character development, the site also reported that Walter Jr. (R.J. Mitten) will be undergoing many changes such as transitioning into an adult.

Mitten spoke to Oh No They Didn't and explained that his character is "really going to change and realize he can finally be an adult.  He is really put in an interesting position this year."

When Mitten was queried on what Breaking Bad fans should expect from the remaining episodes, he gave the following response:

"They can just expect that, from the first episode they will probably be like, 'Oh my god.' I know they will; I have no doubt in my mind that when the first episode releases people are just going to be flipping out of their minds.  I am really excited because Vince and the writers out did themselves; they did such an amazing job. It is an incredible thing."

AMC's Breaking Bad will be launching it's second half of season 5 on Sunday, August 11.  Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the show.
