This definitely doesn't sound like the same Future who was spewing out some major hate towards his ex-fiance and the mother of his child, Ciara, late last year. In fact, it seems like he's changed his tone altogether as he now says he wishes Ciara nothing but love and success for her future, as he definitely benefits from it.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone Magazine this week (via Us Weekly), the Atlanta-based rapper says that even though he and Ciara haven't spoken in the last two years, the ex-couple are "connected for life" thanks to their 2-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn. And as far as all of those nasty things he said about her on social media? He didn't mean it.

Telling the publication that he will "always have love" for his Ciara, he recalled the time they broke up two years ago. He said, "I was scared as s---. I was one step away from being married, and I feel like I failed publicly in relationships."

Responding to claims that he has wished failure upon Ciara for her career and personal life, Future added, "I would never wish that. Ciara being successful, her being happy, helps me."

Ciara has now moved on with her new man, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson. The couple announced their engagement back in March, but haven't set a date for their upcoming wedding just yet.
