He is trying to figure out how Andre (Thaao Penghlis) was able to orchestrate his release from prison and get another man to confess to the crime, and Rafe (Galen Gering) will be stunned when he realizes who was responsible on Days of Our Lives.

He and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) worked hard to get Andrew behind bars for Stefano's murder, which hope actually committed, and Rafe is livid that they now have to deal with his once again being back on the streets after Monahan's shocking confession. Now, in a hope he can figure out a way to get Andre back in jail, he is pulling tapes from the prison to see what visitors Andre had while there, and will be stunned when he sees Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) on the tapes.

Aiden returned from the presumed dead to tell Hope he had been hired by the DiMeras to kill her, but claimed he had tried backing out after their engagement and was kidnapped instead, with a doppelganger trying to kill her instead on their wedding night. He then went to Andre to ask him to back his story, and Andre agreed, as long as Aiden helped get him freed. The agreement later turned to Andre then eliminating Rafe as competition for Hope's heart. Not long after, Monahan showed up and confessed to the murder, letting Andre go free.

Now, after getting the footage that shows Aiden meeting with Andre, Rafe will realize just how much danger Hope could be in now that she's working on seeing if there's anything left to the marriage she and Aiden had. She has gone away to the cabin with him to enjoy some time together, and though he promised to stay out of her decision, and let her do what she feels is right, Rafe may decide the time has come to prove to Hope that Aiden is not the man he claims to be, and is once again conspiring with her enemies.
