Don't expect to see a new episode of The Colbert Report anytime soon. Production for the show was temporarily suspended today and yesterday for unknown reasons.

Ticket holders hoping to see Colbert interview Claire Danes and Susan Cain were notified about the postponement via email.

According to Third Beat, "a last-minute cancellation is highly unusual for Comedy Central's fake news shows."  The site also notes that production of Jon Stewart's The Daily Show has only been suspended twice -- once when a staff member died and again for the birth of Stewart's second child.

A rep for Comedy Central confirmed the suspension was due to "unforseen circumstances." No word yet on when taping will resume.
