Mike Ross isn't going anywhere, but neither is Suits.

The USA series received a season 7 renewal on Wednesday, a sure sign that fans will get to see Mike's (Patrick J. Adams) prison stint played through. The phony Harvard grad managed to keep his head above water for five seasons, but his lies ultimately landed him behind bars. Now that Suits has secured a seventh season (and possesses the potential for an eighth!), Pearson Specter Litt's has a future once more.

"I just renewed [my deal with Universal Cable Productions] for two years, so I'm assuming we're likely to have a Season 7, and it's certainly possible we'll have a Season 8," executive producer Aaron Korsh told TV Line. "I would say we're not in the upswing of the show's life cycle. There have been shows that have lasted a long time and much longer than us, twice as long at least. I don't know how close we are to the end, but I know we're very likely closer to the end than we are to the beginning."

Will Mike's prison sentence run it's course before season 7 begins, or will Harvey (Gabriel Macht) find a way to spring his pal early"?

"I can say in real time he's not going to be in there for two actual seasons, two actual years, but we didn't want to undo what we did in short order because it didn't seem real," Korsh told Fox News. "We've tried to, given how we ended [Season 5] and what we discover in [the first two episodes of Season 6], take it to its natural conclusion or some sort of plausible conclusion. I will say he doesn't get out super-fast."

In the meantime, season 6 has another 12 episodes to play out. Following the events of Wednesday's "Turn," Mike and Harvey will tackle "trust," "Spain," "Shake the Trees," and "Borrowed Time" before the summer run comes to an end.

Set to air on Aug. 10, "Trust" will see Mike try to gain Kevin's trust as Harvey enacts a risky plan, Jessica tries to mend the firm's reputation, Rachel hits a roadblock, and Louis enlists Donna's help (see a preview below).
