If there's one thing we know about The Blacklist's Elizabeth Keen, it's that she doesn't need Red to be her savior. That being said, Lizzie won't slap his hand away when he attempts to diffuse the Alexander Kirk situation in season 4.

Liz Keen (Megan Boone) has spent the last three seasons trying to unravel her twisted past, only managing to pick up tiny snippets that have filtered through Red's (James Spader) warped sense of truth. Now that Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) is in the picture, however, Liz's search for the truth might have to take a backseat to her escape plans.

 Is Alexander Kirk really Liz's father? If you line up the evidence from Red, the answer would be a resounding no. And yet, there's always a reason a doubt the master criminal.

"What I do promise is that Alexander Kirk and his relationship to Liz will ultimately give us a far deeper understanding of Red's relationship to Liz in season 4," series creator Jon Bokenkamp told Entertainment Weekly as executive producer John Eisendrath teased answers.

All of the things that you would point to and add up on one side of the ledger that might discount this guy's story about his being her father, we are responsible for next year and in years to come to incorporate it into the story that we've already told," Eisendrath promised.
