Pokémon GO tracking app FastPokeMap has an intriguing new feature that helps narrow down your Pokémon hunting.

Millions of Pokémon GO fans have been utilizing the new FastPokeMap, which enables players to accurately pinpoint where Pokémon are hiding in the world. But now there's a new feature that provides for even greater accuracy when it comes to catching them all.

It's the Nearby feature, which is similar to the "Sightings" part of Pokémon GO itself. It tells you where nearby Pokemon are in your area, and by clicking (or tapping on) the Pokemon in this feature, you can see almost exactly where they are hiding. Instead of just seeing the Pokemon in its general area on a map, a blue box appears to show the exact area.

You can see a demonstration of this Nearby function on the official FastPokeMap Twitter page:

The FastPokeMap also comes with a filter that allows you to remove certain Pokemon from the map if you are not interested in catching them. This should certainly make things easier for players who are tired of seeing Pidgeys popping up every time they open Pokémon GO.

The developer of FastPokeMap recently revealed that he is a security researcher and while they may be losing money through this app, they don't mind.

"I am working as a security researcher and I'm doing all this mostly alone on my own free time with a LOSS," they wrote in a long Twitter post. "I'm not making any profit. Donations and ads money aren't enough. I don't care. I want to please you guys to make sure you can enjoy the game again. And Niantic made it really hard for me to provide a stable service without spending a s-ton of money. But you know what? Screw it. I'll do it anyway. Because the 'customer' (or in this case the player) is always king."

Pokémon GO players can donate to FastPokeMap directly on the site itself.
