Pokémon GO might be an undisputed worldwide hit, but it has attracted its own fair share of controversies, most prominent of which are bans that the game's developer, Niantic, issues to players who have been caught violating the game's Terms of Agreement.

Fortunately, there are actually a number of workarounds that come resourceful Pokémon GO players have found in order to bypass the bans that have been issued to their accounts. Here are a number of them.

The Account Switcheroo Method

This particular workaround has been found to work most effectively with players who have been given a soft ban by Niantic. However, though the chances are slim, this might also work for those with a more serious sanction.

In order to do this, simply log off your account, and try to create a new one using a different email address. After this, users must delete the entire Pokémon GO app. Once this is done, users must wait about two to three hours, and install the game once more through the official iOS or Android App Store. Some users who have done this were able to get back to their games without any problem.

As stated above, this has been found to work very well among accounts with soft bans. For the permanently banned accounts, the success rate of this workaround is fairly low.

Using QuickSpin

Considering that Niantic hates third-party apps, it is no surprise that a third-party application has emerged that is specifically designed to bypass the developer's ban. QuickSpin allows players to get access to their accounts back, and it only requires players to answer a couple of questions to do so.

Unfortunately, QuickSpin can only be used as a Windows-based hack as of writing. Those using Macs would need to use a virtual machine.

The Written Appeal

If the abovementioned workarounds do not work, there is always the option to write an appeal to Niantic. This is the developer's official means of lifting a permanent ban on a Pokémon GO account. Thus, if you have already exhausted all the workarounds available, it might be time to try and take a chance with a written appeal to the Pokémon GO developer.
