There's a new HOH in the Big Brother house, and it's looking like the last of three couples from the Final 6 is being broken up.

Head of Household: Paul Abrahamian

Nominees: Corey Brooks and Nicole Franzel

Other houseguest: James Huling

As seen in Tuesday night's episode, Paul is the new HOH making him safe until the Final 3. This competition was played on Monday (despite it being shown on Tuesday), so the houseguests have already gone through the Nomination ceremony and the final Veto competition of the season. Paul chose to nominate the final couple left in the house, Corey and Nicole, with Nicole now being nominated for the first time this entire season.

The Veto competition was played on Tuesday, and Paul was the winner. Paul has already expressed to Corey, Nicole and James that he intends on keeping the nominations the same. This means James will have the sole vote to evict on Wednesday, having to decide whether to evict Corey or Nicole. Either way, the Final 3 will be comprised of one person from each of the pairs who made it to Final 6!

Much of Tuesday night on the live feeds was spent with Corey and Nicole lying in bed realizing that their dream of making it to the Final 2 together was over. Both of them grilled James about which one of them he would be evicting, so that they could at least have one night of relaxing sleep. James tried to evade the question, talking about how difficult it was to choose between two good friends. James also asked Corey and Nicole if one of them could essentially volunteer as the person to be evicted, which neither were particularly happy about.

James went up to Paul in the HOH room and spoke about what they needed to do. James and Paul ultimately agreed that for both of their games it was best if Corey was evicted - due to his competition prowess and stronger social game. Later, Nicole spoke with Paul alone where he told her that Corey would be evicted. They reaffirmed a Final 2 deal, though it wasn't clear how serious it was. Paul also directly told Corey that for his game he needed him to be evicted.

In Nicole's private talks with Corey later in the night, she ran through scenarios and came to the conclusion that she doesn't want to take Paul to the end. She noted that Paul has played a really strong game and that she would have a better shot against James, a fellow veteran.

The Final 4 eviction will take place live Wednesday night, with James expected to vote to evict Corey. This will then lead into Part 1 of the Final HOH competition, which is typically endurance-based.

Big Brother 18 airs another new episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
