Terra Jole may be "overwhelmed" by the Dancing With the Stars experience, but she has no intention of stopping now.

Jole has risen closer and closer to the top on Dancing With the Stars, with a number of high scoring dances and the support of the voting public. As the first little person to compete on Dancing With the Stars, Jole is setting a huge example for her kids and the world at large.

"I'm doing this for them and I'm doing this for myself," Jolé told People this week. "I want to prove everyone wrong. I have something to prove and that's what it feels like I'm here to do."

Even more impressive is that Jole had a C-section for the birth of her second child just three weeks before joining Dancing With the Stars!

"It's crazy. I didn't have any hesitations about wanting to do 'DWTS'Wa but I wanted to make sure that I was checked out by a doctor," she said. "I made sure before I said yes that I got his approval. He was very blunt - he said: 'You're not going to die, but you're going to be in so much pain.'"

But beyond showing that little people are perfectly capable of ballroom dancing at the same level of skill as others, she is also hoping to be an inspiration to average-sized people who are watching.

"I feel like people can be enlightened about little people and feeling like you can do anything in this life," she said. "If I can have a C-section and perform three weeks after, I feel like any average-sized person can accomplish these goals in their lives."

It hasn't all been easy, as Jole admitted the experience has been "totally overwhelming" but she added that it has been "rewarding at the same time."

She noted, "Just being asked to be on the show feels like I have already won." Based on her current standing as one of the best scoring celebrities this season, she may even be on her way to winning the Mirrorball trophy.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
