A lot of rumors are claiming the Orange Is The New Black might not be back for another season. However, there were reports of the stars beginning to film the new season so these rumors might not be true.

According to Master Herald, one of the major reasons to doubt the rumors about the show's cancellation is that after airing Season 4, Netflix has announced that Orange Is The New Black has been renewed for three more seasons. This means that the rumors about the show's cancellation after Season 5 are untrue as the show has a contract to last up to Season 7.

Aside from that, the site reported that the show is currently doing well when it comes to viewership. This is one of the main reasons why it is unlikely that Netflix will allow the show's cancellation. With that, Orange Is The New Black is expected to return to the streaming media by next year.

iTech Post also reported that the stars of the show have been spotted in Hudson Valley on the set of Orange Is The New Black Season 5. Earlier reports reveal that the stars have been filming since November 17 and a lot of spoilers regarding the show's plot have been leaked online.

Orange Is The New Black Season 4 ended with Daya (Dascha Polanco) contemplating if she will kill an officer or not. Spoilers revealed that Daya will be saved by another officer in Season 5 and he will also help her deal with the consequences of her actions in Season 4.

On the other hand, Tasha Jefferson (Danielle Brooks) is also said to get revenge for the death of her friend Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley). It was speculated that Tasha will become more aggressive in Season 5 as she thinks that everybody is just trying to forget about her friend's death.

As of writing Netflix is yet to confirm the release date of Orange Is The New Black Season 5, but it is expected to be released sometime in 2017.
