He is now in the loop about his wife's business troubles and was shocked when he realized his mother was also privy to the situation, but Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will also quickly realize that Gloria (Judith Chapman) is definitely up to something on The Young and the Restless.

As Gloria preaches to him about how Lauren (Tracey Bregman) needs their help now more than ever, he will become extremely wary and will accuse his mother of wanting to get close to the situation solely so she can land a job at Fenmore's. And when Gloria finally confirms it, Michael will lose his cool, berating her for trying to manipulate a situation in her favor.

"I do not like your attitude Michael," she says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Jan. 10 episode.

"And I don't like my mother trying to use me to get to something Lauren's already said no to," he snaps back.

The altercation will lead Michael to decide that the time has come for Gloria to leave, and he will tell her to take up residence in the Athletic Club for the night, unaware that he may be playing into a trap she could have set.

Gloria has met with Jack (Peter Bergman) to secretly sabotage Lauren's attempts to fix her business so she will have no choice but to take Jack's offer of a buyout, and when she gets to the Athletic Club and sees Lauren wrapping up a successful meeting with another potential investor, she will get to work. After following the man to the sauna, she will pose as a customer of the store, and rant to him about the awful customer service she and several of her friends have received there, in the hopes it changes his mind about going into business with Lauren. And as Lauren will later learn, the attempt was successful, as the Investor will begin to doubt whether he wants to actually pursue a partnership with her.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
