One of the anticipated series returns on televisions this year is that of The CW's superhero mystery action series, The Flash, where it is set to air the remaining episodes of its third season. Since midseason finale aired on December last year, fans have already been looking forward for the show's comeback.

The series left with the ninth episode last year with the title, "The Present", where Barry Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin, asked help from Jay Garrick to defeat Savitar (Tobin Bell). The two characters consequently defeated Alchemy and returned its weapon to its box, which caused Savitar to disappear before he could kill Jay.

As they try to end Savitar's threat by throwing the box to the Speed Force, Barry was thrown five months into the future where he sees Savitar killing Iris West (Candice Patton). This is where the major cliffhanger ends and the viewers are going to witness on the upcoming episodes the things the heroes do to save Iris.

According to The Wrap, the tenth episode of the series will show Barry looking for ways on how to prevent the events of the horrible future he saw from coming. On the official synopsis released by the network, it was seen that Barry and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) will work together to stop the event before it happens and figure out ways on how to save Iris' life.

Aside from this, Barry will be telling her of the devastating future he saw. It was also reported that Barry is going to be accepting Wally West's help, the kid who has always dreamed of being the 'Kid Flash' so it is most probable that he will be seen in the upcoming episodes of the third season.

Meanwhile, it is reported by Comic Book that another character is going to return on the superhero series. Previously, the character Ronnie Raymond is reported to be coming back, which was portrayed by actor Robbie Amell.

But just recently, it was reported that actor Rick Cosnett is also coming back on the show to reprise his role on The Flash as Eddie Thawne. He confirmed this news on his official Twitter account in which he mentioned, "Ok, hate to tease you but now I can say it: I'm coming back on #TheFlash."

It can be recalled that Eddie Thawne was introduced in season one as Iris West's boyfriend, where it was found out that he was an ancestor of Barry Allen's enemy, Reverse Flash. In order to save his friends and the people, Eddie decided to kill himself so that Reverse Flash will not have a chance to live.

The Flash season 3 episode 10 is set to air on January 24, 2017 on The CW. In the meantime, watch the official teaser below.
