Lindsay Lohan's overly hyped return to Saturday Night Live may have received disappointing reviews, but the troubled star's fourth appearance proved to be ratings gold for NBC.

Thanks to the 25-year-old, SNL landed the number one slot for the night and became the second most watched episode this season with a 5.5 overnight household rating.

Despite the huge numbers and a supportive SNL audience, viewers ripped Lohan's performance. Entertainment Weekly asked online readers to weigh in on whether the blonde actress was "worst host of the year," while the Los Angeles Times mocked Lohan, noting her "comeback train is stuck at the station." Lohan depended heavily on cue cards and even flubbed a few lines. Hitfix's Ryan McGee said the actress "looks scared to death out there" after Lohan struggled through live skits.

In true Lohan fashion, the starlet didn't pay attention to the mixed reviews while attending SNL's cast after-party. Sources close to the actress told TMZ Lohan believes she did a great job and even celebrated into the wee hours yesterday morning with mom Dina.
