After mixed speculations about the fate of "Sense8" Season 2, showrunners finally revealed that the Netflix series already has a green light for a whole new season. What can the viewers expect in "Sense8" Season 2? Will there be new characters coming?

According to Polygon, the photo teasers released for "Sense8" Season 2 show a clear division between friendship and fighting which leads to fans of the series to wonder if there will be new alliances formed. Further, will there be broken friendships among the special "Sense8" individuals that will lead to a major conflict in "Sense8" Season 2?

"Sense8" Season 2 spoilers reveal that the premiere episode will pick up from the finale of Season 1 which debunks previous predictions that there might be a time jump. Netflix has reportedly shared that "Sense8" Season 2 will unravel the characters' personalities, identities and special powers more intricately than the pioneer season. This would mean that there might be more to the existing powers and unique abilities of the characters than what have been revealed.

According to Slash Film, the "Sensates" will still be on the run from Whispers and they will face new challenges where they will have to protect each other at all costs, even if it means risking their own life. "Sense8" Season 2 spoilers also reveal that there might be a new villain coming to town, but it is still unclear if it will side with Whispers or be a whole independent identity. Take this report with a grain of salt, though, as the showrunners have yet to confirm the reports of a new villain.

Aside from its interesting, coming of age plot, "Sense8" has also been praised by the viewers because of the diversity of the actors and their characters. Lana Wachowski from "The Matrix" will take the reigns as the writer and producer of the series. "Sense8" Season 2 air date is slated on May 5 on Netflix.
