Russian President Vladimir Putin strongly denied the idea that Russia has damaging information on President Donald Trump. Putin referred to it as "a load of nonsense" and confirmed that he does not have a relationship with Trump.

"I never met with him. We have a lot of Americans who visit us," Putin said on NBC's Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly. He continued, "Do you think we're gathering compromising information on all of them right now or something? Are you all -- have you all lost your senses over there?"

U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded that Putin interfered with the election to hurt the chances of Democrat Hillary Clinton winning. Trump has avoided any questions regarding his relationship with Russia and Putin has been doing the same by claiming that the United States has a history of meddling with elections.

"I haven't seen once any direct of Russian interference within the United States."

"Put your finger anywhere on a map of the world, and everywhere you will hear complaints that American officials are interfering in internal electoral processes," he said.

Kelly reminded Putin that the skepticism of Russia's interference with the American election has been a theory that has been confirmed by experts due to forensic facts.

Putin objected and kept pointing the finger towards the United States.

"They have been misled," Putin told NBC. "And they aren't analyzing the information in its entirety. I haven't seen, even once, any direct proof of Russian interference in the (U.S.) presidential election."

Kelly and Putin's discussion of hacking has led a heated interview filled with denial, hostility, and blame.
