The cast, contestants and further details for season 12 of Lifetime's Project Runway, which returns on July 18, were revealed Friday.

Super model Heidi Klum will return as host of the show and serve on the panel of judges along with Zac Posen and Nina Garcia. Tim Gunn will again act as adviser to the designers competing on the show.

Also making an appearance will be guest judges slotted for season 12 Kate Bosworth, Sigourney Weaver, Kelly Osbourne, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Stacy Keibler. Michael Kors, who served as a judge in previous cycles of the show.

Sixteen new fashion designers will compete, including a "Runway Redemption Contestant" - Lifetime's reference to a contestant from a past season of the series that will get a second shot at competing for the grand prize. Fans will have the opportunity to cast their votes on Lifetime's website for their favorite past designer. The winner will be announced in the new season.

There will be some changes to the upcoming season as compared to last seasons. Gunn will watch the runway shows along with the judges. If a contestant is voted off, Gunn will be able to decide whether or not he or she should get a second chance and remain on the show.

In addition, seven fans of the show will appear in an episode in the new season to receive makeovers. An interactive on-screen feature called PlayRunway will allow viewers to comment on new "episodes, challenges and eliminations" of upcoming episodes of Project Runway as they air.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Alyssa Milano will host season 3 of the Project Runway spinoff Project Runway All Stars, which also airs on Lifetime.  

Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman, co-founder of the label Marchesa, will return as judges.  

All Stars reportedly began production this month and the new season is expected to premiere sometime in the fall.
