'Cougartown' News: Actress Busy Philipps Gives Birth: See Newborn Baby PHOTOS
Busy Philipps and her screenwriter husband Marc Silverstein welcomed their second daughter on Tuesday, July 2.
The Cougar Town star, 34, tweeted, "So this happened...." and shared a sweet photo of herself cuddling her newborn, whom the couple have not yet named.
“Everyone is healthy and happy,” her rep told PEOPLE, adding that baby girl weighed in at 8.5 lbs.
Philipps and Silverstein are already the parents to 4-year-old daughter, Birdie.
Philipps announced her pregnancy in December when she posted a photo of her positive pregnancy test on Twitter.
In April, at the premiere of her film A Case of You, Philipps revealed that the baby's big sister, Birdie, was "superexcited" about the news.
"She's actually incredibly helpful and she's 4 1/2, so she's really understanding things. When I say, like, 'Mom can't carry you right now because the baby in her tummy is pressing down on her bladder!' She understands what that means and she's cool with it," the actress told The Huffington Post.
"But we'll see what happens when the actual baby comes," Philipps added. "I'm planning for that moment, like, 'And when does she go back?' I know that will happen."
