Matt Damon is on the cover of Esquire's August 2013 issue where the actor revealed that Brad Pitt is a little envious of his lifestyle.

"I look at Brad - and I have for years - and when I'm with him I see the intensity of that other side of it," he said in regards to Pitt's high celebrity status. "I remember telling him that I walk my kids to school, and his face just fell. He was very kind, but he was like, 'You b****rd.' Because he should be able to do that, too. And he can't."

Pitt's extreme celebrity status prevents him from living a so-called normal life with his fiancee Angelina Jolie and their six children - Shiloh, Zahara, Pax, Maddox, Knox Leon and Vivienne. Unlike his Ocean's Eleven co-star, Damon, on the other hand, has been able to keep his life as low-key as possible.

"I got lucky. I fell in love with a civilian," he said about his wife, Luciana Barroso. "Not an actress and not a famous actress at that. Because then the attention doesn't double - it grows exponentially. Because then suddenly everybody wants to be in your bedroom."

The 42-year-old married the former bartender in 2005. The couple has three daughters together and he is also the step-father to Barroso's child from a pervious relationship. Still, Damon also credits himself as the reason why he and his family are not really in the public eye like other A-list actors.

"I don't really give them anything," he said. "If I'm not jumping up and down on a bar, or lighting something on fire or cheating on my wife, there's not really any story to tell,"

He continued, "They can try to stake me out, but they're always going to get the same story - middle-aged married guy with four kids."

The actor and his family may be in the public eye a little more when they move from Miami to a house down the block from his childhood friend Ben Affleck in Los Angeles. The two actors are starting a production company together.
