'American Idol' Season 13 Judges: Could Paula Abdul Make an Appearance?
Could Paula Abdul return to American Idol?
The performer didn't rule to possibility out when speaking with Extra TV.
"It is another hypothetical question... change is good, it's all about evolution," Abdul said when asked if she would be seated at the judges table once more.
While rumors currently dictate that the Fox program is looking to fill its judges panel with former competitor alum, Abdul couldn't confirm or deny the current speculation.
"Change is necessary, change is good," Abdul said, according to Extra TV. "I can't keep up with the rumors, I'll just be waiting on the couch, wondering who is going to be showing up on the judging panel."
'Change' is something the reality singing competition is seeing a lot of recently. To fight the sagging ratings trend, Fox has revamped the entire administrative detail for the show. After dismissing long time executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick, new blood was brought on in the form of Sweede Pers Blankens.
American Idol also wiped out the judges from season 12. Rife with bickering between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, the panel was due for a change. However, long time judge Randy Jackson found himself on the outs as well. His firing put an end to the continuation of the original trio of judges, which had included Abdul, Jackson, and Simon Cowell.
While viewers wait to hear who will judge the singers of America in season 13, Paula Adbul is busy making an appearance on So You Think You Can Dance.
