Though there have been few spoilers for Mad Men's last season, that hasn't stopped the show's stars from speculating about the end.

Elisabeth Moss, who plays Peggy Olson on the show, told TVLine that she doesn't see her character resolving her issues with Don (Jon Hamm) any time soon.

"We've had so many arguments, Peggy and Don. We've been through a lot. There's been a lot of ups and downs," Moss explained to TVLine in a Tuesday report. She described the scene in the second-to-last episode of season 6 in which Peggy calls Don a monster as the lowest moment between them.

"Whatever they've been through, this thing really broke her heart," Moss continued. "She really sees him for who he is in that moment and really is incredibly disillusioned for the first time."

Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan Harris, suggested the she was going into the final season with an open mind.

"I don't have any idea," Hendricks told the Wall Street Journal Thursday, when asked how she thought Mad Men would end. "I'm sure [show creator] Matt [Weiner] will surprise us all. I don't know if anything in the final season will turn out how we expected it to."

Hendricks explained that Weiner always likes to challenge what people expect from the show and revealed that he was already in his office working on the final season.

If Weiner truly likes to subvert expectations, Mad Men may not end as many people have predicted that it would, with Peggy taking the place of Don at the office.

In other Mad Men news, the show was nominated for 12 Emmys for its sixth season. Hamm, Moss and Hendricks were nominated for their sixth, fifth and fourth years in a row, respectively. The show itself was nominated for Best Drama Series for the sixth straight year. Harry Hamlin (who plays Jay Cutler), Robert Morse (Bertram Cooper) and Linda Cardellini (Sylvia Rosen) were also nominated in the guest categories.

Mad Men will be airing its final season in the 2013-2014 television season though a premiere date has not yet been set by AMC.
