Continuing its push toward one of its biggest pay-per-views of the year, Summerslam, the WWE put on quite the show for the July 29th edition of Monday Night Raw, which was taped in Laredo, TX.

The program kicked off with WWE chairman Vince McMahon entering the ring with GM Brad Maddox, only for the former to send the latter out of it.

The challenger for the WWE title at SS, Daniel Bryan, soon entered the squared circle. Vince explained that he'd like to see a new champion, but not for it to be Daniel Bryan or current WWE Champion John Cena, as the "Yes!" chants ignited.

The promo came to a halt with the goat-faced superstar proving that the WWE Universe wants him to have the highly coveted strap because of their chants.

The Shield overcame Mark Henry and the Usos in six-man tag action, as U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose  picked up the pinfall on one of the Usos. Interesting to note, "The World's Strongest Man" seemed to be pretty over as a babyface.

Rob Van Dam beat Fandango via countout. Fandango left the ring prior to RVD hitting his infamous frog splash.

Katilyn prevailed against AJ Lee in a non-title bout, courtesy of a spear.

"The Showoff" Dolph Ziggler came to the ring to poke fun at former girlfriend AJ, and then challenged Big E. to a matchup. Dolph won the bout by disqualification when AJ attempted to attack him. Big E. wasn't too pleased.

Christian beat Alberto Del Rio with a small package.

Cody Rhodes won against Wade Barrett. Afterwards, Damien Sandow cut a promo about Cody stealing his M.I.T.B. briefcase.

Bryan defeated Kane with a roll up pin. Following the match, the Wyatt Family ambushed Kane once again. Bray said that "The Big Red Monster" wasn't a demon.

Brie Bella beat Natalya after Nikki distracted Nattie.

Intercontinental champion Curtis Axel was victorious against R-Truth in a squash match. Afterwards, CM Punk attacked Axel and nealry got vengeance on Paul Heyman before he managed to squander away.

In a backstage segment, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H spoke about the possibility of giving Bryan a "corporate makeover."

John Cena beat Ryback in a tables match. Bryan came out and took Cena's belt. He then pretending to give it back, only to pull it away again.
