In a recent episode of the Office Ladies podcast with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, a look back at the shooting script for season 5's 'Crime Aid' revealed a special memory that not even the camera crew got to see: Dwight and Angela's very first date.

We don't know much about Dwight and Angela's early relationship - as this breakdown of their relationship shows, we know that they initially got together in the summer between seasons one and two - when the camera crews were nowhere to be found. The first we see of their relationship, they're already pretty hot and heavy - buying each other Baby Ruth bars and making out in playhouses and such.

So it's very exciting to learn that there was, in fact, an explanation for how these two Office oddballs finally figured out they should be together; and the truth is exactly what you would expect from them.

Angela Kinsey explained:

"It's so funny. And they did actually shoot it and it is in the deleted scenes...Dwight and Phyllis are now in the parking lot. They're on the bench by the warehouse and Dwight is eating a huge sandwich and they're talking and Dwight shares with Phyllis what he and Angela did on their very first date.

"This is so funny to me. Here's what their first date was: They went to the Anthracite Coal Museum tour."

"Even though they had both been several times, they pretended like they'd never been so they could get all the extra information and special perks of the tour from the tour guide - even though the tour guides recognized both of them because they'd been there so many times.

"And then he said, 'Yeah, and we corrected them when they got their information wrong.'"

So there you have it folks: On Dwight Schrute and Angela Kinsey's very first date, sometime in the summer of 2005, they went to a coal museum that they had both been to so many times that the tour guides recognized them, and fell in love while correcting said tour guides (who were probably THRILLED to see them walking in together.)

In the words of Jenna Fischer: "Soul mates."
