Amy Schumer continues to make headlines even after this year's Oscars ended, as online fans were divided on whether she did a great job at hosting or not. The comedian recently revealed that she had one joke that never made it to the live show as it was too controversial.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 40-year-old comic had a stand-up comedy show in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she said her lawyer told her not to say a couple of jokes at the Academy Awards.

Schumer fronted the headline-making show along with Wanda Skyes and Regina Hall, making them the first three women to host the coveted awards show.

The comedian said she wanted to preface a few Oscar jokes by saying her lawyer did not want her to say them before adding, "don't tell anybody and don't get mad at me."

Schumer then proceeded to tell the joke, saying, "'Don't Look Up' is the name of a movie? More like don't look down the barrel of Alec Baldwin's shotgun." (via Insider)

She concluded her stint by saying she wasn't allowed to say any of that, but "you can just come up and [clock] someone."

The "Trainwreck" star referenced Alec Baldwin's "Rust" shooting incident where he fired a gun that he didn't know contained live ammo during a rehearsal.

The incident caused cinematographer Halyna Hutchins to be shot dead while director Joel Souza was injured.

Amy Schumer Not the Only Comedian Who Joked About Oscar Happenings

Amy Schumer isn't the only comedian who attended the show and then later spoke about what happened during the Oscars as Chris Rock, the comic who infamously got slapped by Will Smith, performed his comedy show and seemingly reacted to what happened.

While presenting the Best Documentary Feature Award, Rock joked about Jada Pinkett Smith's hairstyle, referring to her as "G.I. Jane."

Despite laughing at first, Will Smith went up on stage and assaulted the comedian in front of a live audience.

Last week, while performing at his show at The Wilbur in Boston, he asked the audience how was their weekend and said he's still "processing what happened", and at some point, he will talk about the incident.

Will Smith had already apologized for his actions by writing a lengthy statement on Instagram.
