Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is calling out the press for sexualizing. It has to stop.

The mega-talented young actress made a name for herself in her childhood, leading multiple massively successful television shows. She has been celebrated for her prodigal talent and power at such a young age.

However, since her recent eighteenth birthday, the media has wasted no time in rushing to treat her like they treat every other woman in Hollywood: Over sexualizing and objectifying her to what seems a relentless limit.

The young actress is now calling them out: enough is enough.

Recently, Millie Bobby Brown was interviewed on the Guilty Feminism podcast. In this interview, she shared that she has recognized the unfair increase of her current media portrayal.

"I've definitely been dealing with [being sexualized] more within the last two weeks of turning 18 - definitely seeing a difference between the way people act and the way that the press and social media have reacted to me coming of age."

This is not only disgusting, but incredibly unfair. Age 18 is a time in life for major growth, self discovery, and change. Having to grapple with that while simultaneously staving off vicious media must be incredibly overwhelming.

She shared:

"Any 18-year-old is dealing with navigating being an adult and having relationships and friendships and being liked and trying to fit in...It's all a lot, and you're trying to find yourself while doing that. The only difference is that, obviously, I'm doing that in the public eye, so it can be really overwhelming."

We are glad that this incredibly talented actress is speaking out, and we hope to see an end to these harmful media antics.
