Amber Heard has been facing the public's rage after copying Johnny Depp's outfits amid the defamation trial.

During the first few days of the legal showdown between Heard and Depp, eagle-eyed fans and media outlets noticed how the actress copied Depp's getups.

The incidents include Depp's all-black shirt, black tie, and a gray suit he wore during the last day of the UK trial. The viewers saw Heard wearing a similar outfit during the first day of the defamation trial.

When Depp wore a black Gucci bee tie, Heard was spotted donning the same the next day.

After fans slammed the "Aquaman" actress, she suddenly stopped mimicking her ex-husband.

Now, OK! Magazine quoted The Biointernet Mirror's article about mirroring in psychology. For Heard's case, it is assumed that she tends to mimic Depp as she knows the actor is of higher status.

By doing so, Heard could "persuade the higher status individual to help the person of lower status."

"Each of these situations involve one party who is in a more powerless position for bargaining, and another party who has the ability to fulfill the person of lower status's needs, but may not necessarily wish to. Thus, mirroring can be a useful tool for individuals of lower status in order to persuade the other party to relinquish goods or privileges for the lower status party," the outlet explained.

Amber Heard Always Copies Things

Aside from Depp's outfits, Heard was also accused of copying a movie line from the 1999 film, "The Talented Mr. Ripley.

During her testimony, she delivered a statement that caused people to assume that she copied the lines.

"When I was around Johnny, I felt like the most beautiful person in the whole world. He made me feel seen. He made me feel like a million dollars. And that kind of feeling... lavish gifts and lavish expressions of love and how he had never met a woman like me," Heard told the jury while looking emotional.

However, the Associated Press eventually noted that the actress did not make comments similar to the movie lines.

While she has already been cleared from it, she did copy her ex-personal assistant's story of sexual abuse and twisted it to use it for her own benefit.

According to Kate James, Heard used it as if she was the victim. The testimony about the incident involving the actress using her story was presented during Depp's libel action against News Group Newspapers.
