Glee star Naya Rivera released a snippet of her first song Sorry via twitter on Friday.

"Here's a preview of my first single, "Sorry". It's been a long time coming and I'm so happy to share my music with you all," she tweeted.

"More details to come soon. Thank you all for supporting me! Sorry it took so long!" she then added.

Fans were happy with the short clip.

"HELL OF A TEASER! I need this now! Sound so good already!! #cannotwait" tweeted one.

"Sounds so dope! Can't wait to hear the whole song," wrote another fan.

The song, which features her boyfriend and rapper Big Sean, is set to appear on Rivera's forthcoming debut album. While she hasn't decided on a release date, Rivera is certain of the record's sound.

"[It's] very R&B-pop, very rhythmic, very melodic," she told EnStars in July. "You know, I'm kind of taking it back and making there be a little bit of a '90s flare and a '90s sound to everything."

The star, who said she writes all her songs, also explained that she draws inspiration from her own personal experiences.

"It's really coming together. I'm excited about the music that I've been creating," she added.

Rivera, who plays Santana Lopez on Glee, also told EnStars that her boyfriend has been helpful during her music making process.

"He's been amazing," she said. "He has been doing this professionally for a lot longer than I have, so he definitely gives me advice, and I really appreciate him doing that. It is pretty invaluable. He's got a great ear and he's great with lyrics."

Sean also gloated over Rivera during his interview with Hot 97 in July.

"Aside from having her priorities right, she got goals, she's like determined, she's smart," he said of the actress.

The Hall of Fame rapper also revealed that he's in love with her.

"She treats me like a king and I've never been treated like that by a girl before," he said.
