The world met Valeria Lukyanova last year when shocking photos of her surfaced online. The then-23-year-old woman was nicknamed "Real Life Barbie" because of her small waist and anime-shaped eyes.

Now, Lukyanova has teamed up with VICE to create a 20-minute documentary about her bizarre life.

According to The Daily Beast, Space Barbie chronicles Lukyanova's work as a spiritual guru and believes she's from another planet.

"I am a lecturer on the subject of out-of-body travel," she said.

"If a nun starts talking about spirituality, will anyone notice her? No, No one will," she added. "But if a beautiful, inspiring young woman starts talking about it, many people will start thinking. So I use my appearance to promote my spiritual ideas. It works perfectly."

VICE's official website details the upcoming movie. The description reads: "The world knows Valeria Lukyanova as the girl who turned herself into a real-life Barbie doll. Controversy has surrounded her every move since her computer-perfect visage went viral last year. However, what most of the world doesn't know is that Valeria is not a real girl at all, but a time-traveling spiritual guru whose purpose is to save the world from the clutches of superficiality and negative energy. Valeria, AKA Space Barbie, gives us exclusive access to her world to show us how physical perfection truly is the best medium through which to deliver life-changing philosophy to the human race."

"I'd seen her like everyone else when she popped up on the internet with all those bewildering and bizarre images and videos,' Vice director Will Fairman told the Daily Mail. 'And thought there had to be something more behind it all, because I could see little flecks of esoteric stuff."

In the film, Lukyanova revealed that she is from another planet - possibly Venus, but she isn't quite sure.

"She's not a fraud," clarified Fairman. "She genuinely believes she's from another planet. She's not making any money from her life - not even from the seminars she gives - which is originally why I thought she was doing this.'
