Exes at weddings can make the celebration of love very awkward! More so when supposedly dear family members are not even present. Such is the wedding of Britney Spears.

Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander was seen attempting to crash the "Toxic" singer's wedding to Sam Asghari in a video made for his Instagram Live on Thursday, June 9.

The video can be viewed via TMZ. Jason, 40, actually videotaped himself being caught by the police while attempting to sneak into Britney's wedding.

Ventura County Sheriff Officer Wright told HollywoodLife that local authorities responded to a report that the 40-year-old singer's ex-boyfriend was at her residence.

"We responded to the property belonging to Britney Spears for a trespassing Investigation. We arrested an individual by the name of Jason Alexander, 40 years old, for a warrant that is out of state. He is at our Thousand Oaks station right now and being booked," he said.

On the supposed IG live video however, Jason stated that Britney actually invited him and that he knew her 28-year-old fiancé Sam was present. Allegedly, he was invited because there were no family members to support Britney.

"Britney Spears invited me here. She's my first wife-my only wife. I'm her first husband. I'm here to crash the wedding, cause nobody's here, but Sam. So where the f**k's the family?" he said.

Britney's marriage to Jason may have been her first, but it was relatively brief. In 2005, the couple tied the wedding in Las Vegas, but after only 55 hours as husband and wife, they dissolved their marriage.

Jason has criticized the "Piece of Me" singer's engagement to Sam despite being an active supporter of Britney during her conservatorship hearings and the cries to "Free Britney." In a September 2021 interview with Inside Edition, he disclosed that he didn't believe it was "genuine."

This was also not Jason's first arrest. In 2021, he was arrested three times. In January of that year, he was nabbed for driving under the influence, unauthorized use of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. In August, he was arrested for a misdemeanor "air security infraction" during a flight. In December, he was arrested for stalking.

Another bone to this wedding is that Britney's own kids are not present. Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, cannot attend the singer's wedding to Sam Asghari. Their father Kevin Federline's attorney revealed this to TMZ just hours before the ceremony is scheduled to take place at Britney's California home. He, however, clarified that the kids have no objections to the wedding.
