Camille Vasquez and Johnny Depp dating rumors have started to swirl even before the trial is over. While the jurors decide whether it is Amber Heard or Johnny Depp is the one lying, some spectators are busier wondering whether Camille Vasquez was being such a passionate lawyer because she is actually dating her client.

In an interview with People Magazine, Johnny Depp's attorney Camille Vasquez called allegations that she and her client Johnny Depp are dating "sexist."

Vasquez, who has a now been made a partner, stated in the interview that she is "very happy" in her own relationship and emphasized that dating clients is no doubt unethical. The fact that rumors still emerged given those facts is undoubtedly insulting.

As with many aspects of the trial, the rumors lit up the internet.

"It's sexist," she shared. "It's unfortunate and it's disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can't say I was all that surprised."

"This man was fighting for his life and it broke my heart to see him day in and day out have to sit there and listen to the most horrific allegations being made against him. And if I could provide any bit of comfort, then, of course, I would do that, whether it's holding his hand or letting him know that we were there and we were going to fight for him because he deserved it," Vasquez explained to the outlet, highlighting how insensitive those rumors were, in effect.

On June 1, jurors ruled Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard defamatory of one another.

The jury awarded Depp $15 million in damages after concluding that Heard defamed him by presenting herself as a victim of domestic violence in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed that did not specifically name Depp.

Heard was granted $2 million in damages in response to Depp's attorney's contention that her sexual assault charges were a "hoax."

Vasquez has recently made headlines for her participation in the high-profile trial. According to her biography on the business's website, Vasquez is a litigation associate at the international law firm Brown Rudnick, specializing in plaintiff-side defamation claims. She was a member of Depp's eight-person legal team.

Vasquez was promoted to partner at her law firm, Brown Rudnick, after her passionate cross-examination of Heard during the trial (which gained her a lot of exposure on social media) garnered her a lot of attention. Some said it was her who truly made a difference on this trial.
