Kelly Clarkson startled her followers when she filed for divorce from Brandon Blackstock after seven years of marriage in June 2020.

During their divorce processes, the former "American Idol" contestant has experienced several roadblocks, including custody agreement negotiations and the iconic Montana ranch.

Clarkson and Blackstock's divorce was finalized in March after more than a year of back and forth, with settlements previously reached.

However, according to Star magazine, the "Since U Been Gone" hitmaker wants all trace of her ex-husband destroyed once Blackstock finally leaves her Montana property, which she acquired in 2019.

Kelly Clarkson is said to have begun substantial repairs on her ranch, but instead of selling it after the divorce, she intends to rebuild it as a getaway for herself and her children, River Rose, 8, and Remington, 6.

Clarkson hasn't visited or even stepped foot on the ranch in the previous two years, according to a source who talked to the magazine, and gaining the property is a significant thing for her.

According to the site, the "Breakaway" hitmaker initially wanted to sell the luxurious pad since it brought awful memories for her because it was the same location where her marriage came apart during the lockdown.

Her children, however, convinced her otherwise.

"Kelly doesn't want to pull the rug out from under them," the insider said. Instead, she plans to renovate the house and rename it "Mama's Place."

Fans should take this information with a grain of salt because the Emmy-winning TV program presenter has yet to corroborate the report of her plans to refurbish the multimillion-dollar mansion.

Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Her 'Huge Divorce'

Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson is discussing how her divorce from Brandon Blackstock has affected her career.

Clarkson stated on "The Chart Show with Brooke Reese" that she is obliged to "get my crap together" due to her divorce.

"I'm just figuring out what I'm comfortable releasing." So it's simply a difficult thing to negotiate. It's on its way. I simply need to decide what I'm going to release. I've never worked on a project this complex before."

Despite her hectic schedule as host of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," the singer-host hasn't published an album since 2017, with the exception of her 2021 Christmas CD, "When Christmas Comes Around."
