Dearest Reader, we have some new Bridgerton announcements for you.

Bridgerton really shows the world that, even in the off-season, there is never a moment free of gossip. That is also the case surrounding the show itself. While the second season premiered months ago and season three is not predicted until some time in the somewhat distant future (sad), it seems we always have new stories and new information about our favorite Regency Era show.

It very recently came to light that the rumors of the return of Rege-Jean Page, known to watchers of the show as the Duke of Hastings, are false.

This makes us sad of course, but the actor speaks highly of the series. In a recent interview with the LA Times, he said that, while speaking to producer Shonda Rimes, the two spoke about how proud they were of the final moments of season one.

"Shonda and I had a wonderful conversation at the end of Season 1. We were quite happy with how we'd stuck the landing on that one - I'm still proud of how we stuck the landing on that one."

While the actor has no intentions of returning to the show, he does not want that to hold the series back. Page shared that, "They are free to do as they like," when it comes to writing the part out of the show or recasting the actor himself.

Speaking of looking ahead to the future...
