Alright Bridgerton fans, we've got good news and bad news for you today.

Let's start with the good news: Jonathan Bailey and Regé-Jean Page (Anthony Bridgerton and Duke Simon of Hastings, respectively) were spotted catching up over the weekend, photographed together in Milan at the 2023 Armani Spring Menswear show.

And let us tell you - any photograph they're in together is a feast for the eyes - but before we show you the photo that Jean Page was kind enough to post to his instagram, know taht it also contains the bad news.

Yes, that's right: If you read the caption, you have probably already had your Bridgerton Season 3 hopes dashed, because it read:

"The boys are back in town. ❤️

(No, I'm not going back to the show btw - the papers made that one up.) But we had the best, and most stylish, catch up I've had in a while over some truly excellent Italian coffee and sunshine ☕️ "

There have indeed been rumors going around lately that the Duke of Hastings might make a return appearance in the third season - Phoebe Dynevor has been a dutiful sister as Daphne, showing up at many family events in season 2, and even bringing along their baby Augie. However, her husband remained elusive - in the show, because he was dealing with important business affairs, but in real life simply because he's suddenly one of the most in-demand actors out there.

Still, fans had held out hope that the rumors might be true this time around - after all, Simone Ashley has been confirmed to be sticking around as the new Lady Bridgerton.

But alas, it seems it's not meant to be - maybe in Season 4 we'll get to see a glimpse of the Duke again.

As it stands, Season 3 of Bridgerton will already be going differently than fans expected - it was announced shortly after the premiere of Season 2 on Netflix that the next season would focus on Colin and Penelope, rather than Benedict and his love interest Sophie, as it is in the books.

We'll be there watching no matter what - but for now, at least there's pretty pictures of the boys to look at.
