Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran is set to star in a new rom-com podcast, titled A Mid-Semester Night's Dream

If there are three things the world at large can't seem to get enough of, they are Bridgerton, modern adaptations of Shakespeare, and podcasts. Well, we are about to get all three wrapped up in one neat and entertaining package.

A new podcast titled A Mid-Semester Night's Dream has been announced, clearly based off of William Shakespeare's classic work A Midsummer Night's Dream, starring the diamond of Bridgerton season two, Charithra Chandran.

Meet Cute is a podcast company that specializes in telling romantic-comedy stories through the vehicle of the podcast.

According to the exclusive that announced this casting on Deadline, the story of A Mid-Semester Night's Dream will follow four graduate students at Athinai Stae University: Mia, Lyle, Helen, and Demetri.

Of course, the complicated web of who-likes-who follows close to the original text, but, in this podcast adaptation, there is no magical flower. Instead, there is a magical copy of A Midsummer Night's Dream, that makes anyone who reads it fall in love with the first person they see (is that meta or what?)

Chandran is very excited to step into this new and exciting world. She shared her excitment publically:

"A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of my favorite plays and Meet Cute's modern adaptation in a college setting within the medium of podcasting makes this a really exciting and accessible project to be a part of."

We will keep you up to date with more information on A Mid-Semester Night's Dream as it comes out!
