It has been an emotional few weeks for the stars of Glee and the cast appreciated the support of fans during the Teen Choice Awards.

In the wake of Cory Monteith's sudden and tragic death, the ever-popular Fox program made a group appearance at the Awards when they accepted the surfboard for Choice TV Show: Comedy.

With the passing of their friend and colleague heavy on their minds, the cast made sure to mention Monteith in their acceptance speech. However, when Lea Michele accepted her award for Choice TV Actress Comedy, Monteith took center stage in her thanks.

As girlfriend to Monteith both on and off screen, Michele struggled to fight back tears as she thanked fans for their unyielding support in the last few weeks. Following her speech, the Teen Choice Awards took a moment of TV silence to display Monteith's picture.

Monteith passed away in Vancouver, Canada on July 13 following a long battle with addiction. Most well known for his role as Finn Hudson on Glee, Monteith also stared in Kyle XY and Kaya while making appearances in Stargate SG-1 and Smallville. The 31-year-old actor also featured in Final Destination 3 and Sisters & Brothers.
