Prince Harry, who was granted the title of Duke of Sussex, is quietly making his way back into a permanent engagement with public service in the UK by championing humanitarian work while quietly communicating with Buckingham Palace.

According to Radar Online, after taking a step back from royal responsibilities in 2020 to settle in California with wife, Meghan Markle, Harry has been re-emerging in public affairs in the UK through speeches and other engagements dealing with matters like Ukraine, environmentalism, and antisemitism.

Royal insiders reveal that Harry's team has kept intermittent contact with palace aides following a secret summit nearly a year ago. The two sides are coordinating schedules and sharing information to avoid public conflicts amid ongoing family tensions.

The source close to the palace said, "Harry appears determined to create a new version of himself within British public life – one that exists outside the formal machinery of the monarchy but still carries the weight and visibility of his royal background. He wants to be viewed less as an estranged prince chasing celebrity projects and more as a serious humanitarian and international figure whose opinions on major social and political issues still matter in Britain."

Although Harry recognizes there is no path back into the formal royal institution after recent disputes, he reportedly views Britain as home and is intent on restoring a respected role on his own terms rather than remaining an exile in California.

In recent months, Harry and King Charles have publicly aligned on several global issues. Both expressed support for Britain's Jewish community after recent attacks and shared similar themes regarding Ukraine, environmental efforts, and social causes.

As per AOL, an aide noted that Harry and Charles share more similarities than often acknowledged. Both were shaped by the royal system and developed strong humanitarian views. Harry inherited much of his father's passion for speaking out, even amid controversy.

Unlike his brother Prince William's more reserved style, Harry has adopted direct commentary since leaving royal life. Sources say he no longer adheres to the traditional royal principle of never complain, never explain.

Harry is expected to visit Britain in July ahead of the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham but has no current plans for a formal reunion with Charles. Much of his future involvement depends on ongoing negotiations over security arrangements for him, Meghan, and their children when traveling in the UK.

A palace insider remarked that Harry now acts as a private individual and not as a monarchy representative. However, some within the royal circle are wondering whether his interventions are appropriate for someone with such a dignified position.

Nevertheless, regardless of the complicated family relationships that are evident in the royal family, Harry is still an object of interest to the British public.
