MacKenzie Scott, who was previously married to Jeff Bezos, remains consistent in her giving millions of dollars since 2019, when the couple separated, but she is noticeably absent from the big givers list. Meanwhile, Bezos' current wife, Lauren Sánchez, is reportedly pushing him to be more publicly engaged to reshape his image.

Since her split from Bezos, Scott has reportedly given away over $19 billion through her organization, "Yield Giving", including more than $7 billion last year alone to over 120 organizations, per Stylecaster.

Despite these massive contributions, the "Chronicle of Philanthropy" did not list her among the top 50 donors in 2025 due to a lack of publicly available information. Scott and her representatives did not comment on the details of her giving, and as a result, watchdogs can't track or rank her generosity. It's a stark departure from typical high-profile philanthropy.

Attempts to reach Yield Giving have not been returned, according to Fortune, further underscoring her desire to stay under the radar. Regardless, Forbes has tallied up her massive donations and estimates her net worth at around $32.5 billion. In comparison, Jeff Bezos retains a net worth estimated at $230.2 billion, owning roughly 9% of Amazon.

At the same time, reports indicate Lauren Sánchez is actively encouraging Bezos to take a more visible role in public life. Insiders close to the couple describe Sánchez as Bezos' closest advisor and advocate, urging him to engage openly with the public rather than remaining silent.

"Lauren genuinely believes people would love Jeff if they actually saw the real him," an insider told columnist Rob Shuter. Sánchez reportedly sees Bezos' silence as a weakness that allows critics to shape his narrative.

Her tactic is to increase his profile by doing interviews, making public appearances and emphasizing his personality. But some advisers warn that Sánchez's approach is more about celebrity branding than corporate reputation management, though Bezos values her advice highly.

As Scott quietly continues her philanthropic mission away from the spotlight, Bezos may become more active in shaping his public profile under Sánchez's guidance.
