Following her wins at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, singer Selena Gomez left the states to embark on her Stars Dance tour.

The 21-year-old said goodbye through Instagram photos she uploaded early on Monday, showing her in a patterened bikini sitting beside a pool with her friends. In one image, Gomez posed in a retro two-piece and she captioned the shot, "Bye L.A."

The Slow Down singer kicks off her first ever solo world tour on Aug. 14 in Vancouver.

The on-again, off-again girlfriend of Justin Bieber won three awards during the TCAs at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles: Choice Female Hottie, Choice Summer Music Star: Female and Choice Break-Up Song for Come & Get It. She wore to the awards ceremony a green cut-out Cushnie et Ochs dress with double thigh-high slits. The singer/actress accessorized the daring look with turquoise Neil Lane earrings and nude Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Upon accepting the award for Choice Break-Up Song, Gomez told the audience, "Thank you guys so much. I think it's an encouraging song, so I'm glad that everyone is responding really well to it."

"I honestly appreciate you guys giving me the opportunity to do what I love every day," she added. "So this is your award, this isn't mine. Thank you so much."

Gomez travels on her Stars Dance world tour with Emblem3 & Christina Grimmie. She begins her tour in Canada before going to Demark, Sweden, Norway and across Europe in late August and September. She performs in the U.S. beginning in October. See full tour dates here.

She recently told radio station 92.3 Now that while she loves all of her songs, she loves performing a few in specific. She said of 2011's Who Says, "It's such an inspirational song lyrically. I feel a really powerful connection between me and my fans when I perform that song."

The new big sister also talked about being a role model for her fans and maintaining a wholesome image by staying out of the club scene.

"I would just want to know that every single thing that has happened to me, basically the world already knows," she said. "So, I feel like if I handle myself with as much class and as much grace and just be confident-that's what I want to leave behind. I want to make sure that whenever [my fans] go through something they know how to handle turning the other cheek. That's what I've always been taught. Don't retaliate, give good energy, and just be a good person. That's all I really want to be."
