LeSean McCoy has been called out for violating the "bro code" after claiming that NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo allegedly once cheated on his wife of 28 years with a model.

The former NFL running back, 35, made the claims during the May 16 episode of his and DeSean Jackson's podcast, "The 25/10 Show."

In a clip shared on the podcast's Instagram page and later reposted on X, formerly Twitter, McCoy recalled meeting the Instagram "baddie," whom he did not identify, in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2016.

The former Philadelphia Eagles player told Jackson that he tried to ask the model out, but she refused because she already had "a man," whom she allegedly identified as Mutombo.

Recalling their conversation, McCoy said he offered to take the unnamed woman shopping in Atlanta and buy her gifts and dinner, but she allegedly boasted that Mutombo flies her to France for shopping sprees.

"She said, 'No, no, trust me. He [is] not that type of dude. You know what I mean? He take[s] good care of me.' I said, 'I ain't worried about that, baby. I'll take you shopping tomorrow. I ain't tripping,'" McCoy claimed on the podcast.

"Guess what she said? 'No, no, no.' ... This is how she said [it] though, 'He don't take me shopping here. He take me to France.' Who was this dude? Guess what she said his name was? Dikembe Mutombo," the two-time Super Bowl champion alleged.

Despite being turned down, McCoy suggested there were no hard feelings on his part.

"I was like, 'You're taking him over me?' But I get it, he's taking you shopping [from] PJ to France. I said, 'Babe, keep him,'" he told his co-host.

McCoy did not say if he ever saw the model with Mutombo or if the woman provided any proof to support her claims. Enstarz could not independently verify the information.

While it is unknown if there is any truth to the claims, some users on X, formerly Twitter, criticized McCoy for name-dropping and potentially "snitching" on Mutombo without any evidence.

"Dry snitching on Dikembe Mutumbo is absolutely insane," one X user commented.

Another called him out, writing: "Bruh Shady is wild for name-dropping Mutombo."

"[He's] been married since the '90s, you can't just be talking like that," a third user wrote.

One person claimed that McCoy violated "man code" instead of bro code" and that it was "nasty" because it could "hurt" Mutombo's home and family.

Mutombo -- who played 18 seasons in the NBA before retiring in 2009 -- has been married to his wife Rose since 1996 and welcomed three biological children with her.

They also adopted four of Mutombo's nieces and nephews, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The couple has lived in Atlanta since 2016.

During a 2016 interview with NBC News, the NBA Hall of Famer recalled falling in love with his wife during their first meeting in Kinshasa, Congo, in 1995.

Mutombo shared that he told his brother, "I think I'm going to marry her," after he first talked to Rose.

Two weeks after their first meeting, Rose, a lawyer, politician, and humanitarian, flew to the U.S. to marry Mutombo.

In October 2022, the NBA announced that Mutombo was undergoing treatment in Atlanta for a brain tumor.
