To the excitement of its fans, NBC's hit crime series, Law & Order, is set to make its return for its fifteenth season in the fall.

According to the Daily News, actress Cybil Shepherd was seen in New York on Tuesday at the courthouse located on 60 Centre St., in a scene for an upcoming episode of the TV series. The veteran actress will don the role of a justice-seeking character that's partially based on Florida neighborhood gunman George Zimmerman.

Shepherd will play Jolene Castille, a restaurant owner from the south being charged with murder after shooting a black teen on the Upper West side, according to TV Guide.

Interesting to note, Arrested Development standout Jeffrey Tambor plays her lawyer in the segment.

Shepherd was last seen in television in The Client List and Psych. She's also appeared on shows such as Franklin & Bash, Hot in Cleveland, Eastwick, The L Word, Cybill, Moonlighting, and The Yellow Rose.

The busy actress also has two films coming out in Squirrels to the Nuts and Cal & Kelly. Shepherd was even recently on the broadway stage for Gore Vidal's The Best Man.
