The teaser for the Dior Homme fragrance campaign featuring Robert Pattinson has been released.

Pattinson was revealed as the new face of the fragrance in June. The expected launch of the official campaign is slated for October.

The ad is composed by Hedi Xandt and the pictures were shot by photographer Nan Goldin in New York. The audience experiences the teaser through a clunky View-Master -- various, dimly-lit, black and white shots of Pattinson and a female model grace the screen. The series of stills are attuned to the pulse of New York city, soundtracked to live sound, capturing the bustle of the city streets -- cop car sirens, traffic noise, church bells, and general chatter.

We see Pattinson atop tall buildings, precariously perched on an iron scaffolding, sometimes plainly standing against the backdrop of some New York city landmarks. In the pictures Pattinson has this sense of careless abandon and measured intensity about him. We definitely don't catch Pattinson smiling in any picture. There are also a few intimate shots of Pattinson with a female model, which tap into Goldin's known talent for capturing amorous liaisons candidly yet aesthetically.

Currently Pattinson is busy filming for David Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars. The film also stars Julianne Moore, John Cusack, and Mia Wakowski. Pattinson was also in Cronenberg's last film, Cosmopolis.

It was also reported that Pattinson recently moved into Britney Spears' old home. The $3.7 million Beverly Hills mansion was previously also home to Gwen Stefani and Hilary Duff.
