CBS recently released the first preview video for the fifth season of The Good Wife.

The clip showed Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) confiding in Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) and Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) by telling them that she's starting a new firm. There also seems to be a new femme fatale in the house and though Peter may have his eyes set on her, Eli was shown telling Peter that he doesn't want sex to be an issue at the office.

"It's not an issue," Peter reassured him.

Season 4 of the show ended with Peter elected as governor of Illinois and given a new staff.

Alicia agreed to make her exit from Lockhart/Gardner and start her own law firm with Cary Afos (Matt Czuchry) in season 4. They both said they would keep it a secret from their bosses, Will Gardner (Josh Charles) and Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranskli)

Graham Phillips (Zach Florrick) of The Good Wife recently revealed on Twitter that the fifth episode of season 5 will shock fans. He tweeted after a reading of the episode on Aug. 22, "Just finished reading episode #505 of The Good Wife. Wow. This is the Red Wedding episode of our show."

It was also rumored that Charles,might exit the show this season.

Actress Julianna Margulies suggested that the show might taking a shocking turn in the upcoming season. Talking about season 5 in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Margulies divulged that "there's some stuff brewing that I think will be a little explosive."

There is a number of guest stars lined up for season 5: Talia Balsam will be playing a political reporter on the show and Melissa George will portray Governor Florrick's in-house ethics counsel. America Ferrera, Gary Cole, Jeffrey Tambor and Carrie Preston will also be returning to the show.

Season 5 of The Good Wife premieres Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
