The upcoming season the PBS' hit program, Downton Abbey, will undoubtedly be shaking things up for its fans, while a majority of the fans are curious over Lady Mary's (Michelle Dockery) future in the romance department, many are surely wondering what's in the cards for Anna and Bates.

In the third season of the TV show, Anna (Joanne Froggatt) along with her hubby Bates (Brendan Coyle) rekindled their romance after she helped get him freed from prison.

Froggatt recently spoke to TV Guide about the understandable misconception that the twosome will be seen more often with one another.

"That doesn't really affect how you see Anna and Bates on the show because they would have spent so much time at work. They would have been there from half past five in the morning until midnight when the family went to bed," she said.

While Bates' freedom from incarceration most certainly has changed his character's dynamic, the actress explains that the relationship between him and Anna will be fairly similar to season 3.

"So they still eat breakfast, lunch, dinner in the servants' hall with the rest of the servants. They literally go back to their cottage to go back to sleep really. You do see a couple of scenes in Bates' cottage. so the audience is reminded that they do live in the cottage. But for all intents and purposes, it doesn't change for them really," Froggatt added.

Downton Abbey will be kicking off its fourth season on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 in the U.S. For more of the latest info on the popular British American drama, be sure to keep checking back with Enstars.
