‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: 'Big Brother' Star Howard Overby Dishes On 'Very Sexual But Laid Back' Vibe, Details
Eviction from CBS' Big Brother has proven to be a blessing in disguise for Howard Overby, who has landed a guest spot on The Bold and the Beautiful, a role that is meaningful to him because the show is one that's important to his family.
"...I got a call out of the blue from The Bold and the Beautiful asking if I'd like to appear on the show. I said yes without knowing any of the particulars because I was raised in a house with a lot of females-my mom, my grandma, and two older sisters-and everyone watched the CBS soaps," he said in an interview with TV Guide.
"And The Bold and the Beautiful is the one my mom loves most. ..So getting that call really floored me. It's crazy. There's nothing better than making your mom happy," he added.
The guest spot features Overby, who was kicked out of the Big Brother house in early August and saw a large amount of racial tension while there, playing a the DJ/Host of Karaoke Night at the Bikini Bar, set in the soap's hometown of Los Angeles, Calif., and Overby loved playing his role.
"Getting to work with Darin Brooks [Wyatt] and Kim Matula [Hope] was great. We get a real happy-go-lucky, very sexual but laid-back vibe going in the bar," he said.
Overby also spilled that several other familiar faces from the world of Reality TV would be appearing on the popular soap as well.
"Rachel Reilly, Brendon Villegas and Jeff Schroeder from Big Brother are also in the same episodes, plus Malcolm Freberg from Survivor," he said.
Bold and the Beautiful airs Weekdays at 3:30 p.m. on CBS. Overby's role will be featured on episodes airing Oct. 24-25.
