Showtime's highly-anticipated new show Masters of Sex promises to not only have an intellectual look at sexual behavior, but a hot look at sex as well, if a new interview with star Lizzy Caplan is any indication.

According to E! news, Caplan opened up in a recent issue of GQ Magazine about her new show.

"If you watch Masters of Sex, you will score chicks," she said. "This is everything your readers need to know. I know that the show will be equally relevant to men and women, if for no other reason: tits!"

The provocative new show features Caplan portraying Virginia Johnson and Michael Sheen as Dr. William Masters. The two are researchers studying human sexuality, and it is based on true events.

According to The Latin Times, William masters was an American gynecologist who became notable for his work with Johnson from 1957 until the 1990's. The two looked into the study human sexual response and the diagnosis of sexual disorders. They also developed tools to measure sexual arousal in men and women, developed the sexual response cycle, which they published in their 1966 book Human Sexual Response.

The series is so highly anticipated that it was already honored with a Critics' Choice television Award for Most Exciting New Series.

In her interview, Caplan also teased that she's learned a lot from the show.

"They basically figured out that the female body is far better equipped for sex than the male body," she said. "Women can have multiple orgasms; men cannot. They're actually the sexual athletes, not the men."

Caplan's past work includes roles in Bachelorette, 127 Hours, and Hot Tub Time Machine. She also appeared on episodes of Party Down and New Girl.

Master of Sex premieres Sunday Sept. 29 at 10:00 p.m. on Showtime.
