UPDATED: HOLLY WENT HOME TONIGHT

Hollie Cavanagh Fans Likely to Give their Votes to Jessica Sanchez

Looking back at last night's performances on American Idol, it was safe to say that Jessica Sanches and Joshua Ledet will be among the top 3 remaining finalists of the show. Both Sanchez and Ledet received standing ovations while Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanagh still received great reviews.

All four contestants performed two songs and a duet. Reviews are indicating that Sanchez was the best performer of the night when she belted "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" a track featured on the Dreamgirls movie.

Billboard's TV critic Kevin Rutherford said, ""Jessica finally rises to the top of my ranking for the first time in weeks after positively killing the 'Dreamgirls' song."

Ledet's rendition of James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" also amazed the judges.

The next best performance would have to be Phillips who performed "Volcano".  Critics are saying that Hollie's performance was the least best of the night. Her second performance of "I Can't Make You Love Me," did not receive great reviews. "A little too much vibrato, too much shaking," Lopez commented.

Jackson said the song choice was wrong and added "It gave you nowhere to go. There were no moments for you," he said.

Predictions were correct. Hollie went home tonight.
