As Week 6 of Dancing With the Stars came to a close, an on-air mistake from last episode resulted in a surprising twist.

Although the show was set to say goodbye to one celebrity competitor this weeks, all dancers remained safe due to a fan-voting problem caused by an incorrectly printed telephone number.

However, this sudden turn of events wasn't the only surprise of the evening. The judges decided to mix things up a little with the "Switch Up" competition. The exercise in improv gave some competitors a leg up when it came to points.

Elizabeth Berkley and partner Val Chmerkovskiy brought in 32 points in total. The team received a perfect 30 for their cha cha cha rendition tat incorporated a move from Berkley's 1995 film, Showgirls.

Pretty Little Liars' Brant Daugherty and partner Peta Murgatroyd stepped up their game with week with the tango. After snagging 28 points for the assigned dance, the duo grabbed another three from the "Switch Up" challenge in order to get a cumulative total of 31 points.

Amber Riley and partner Derek Hough also scored high in both competitions. After getting a 28 for their samba, the pair pulled in another four points for their improv.

Former Jersey Shore star Snooki and Sasha Farbe garnered nines across the board for their foxtrot and then snatched another three points to leave them with a round 30.

Jack Osbourne took in a total of 28 points for his paso doble, Leah Remini scored a 28 after her quickstep, Corbin Bleu added some hype Viennese waltz by setting it to the Game of Throne theme song (27 points), and Bill Engvall scored a low 24 for his tango.
