Sean Lowe's father bashed the claim that he didn't attend his son's engagement party in Catherine Giudici's hometown because he's not fond of her.

Giudici's family and friends threw her and Lowe an engagement party in Seattle on Oct. 4. The following week, Radar Online reported that Lowe's family did not attend because they didn't think Giudici was "Christian" enough for the Bachelor star.

Jay Lowe, Sean's father, told MailOnline that the report is false because he "loves Catherine will all [his] heart."

"There is a lot of love for this girl," he said. "We have embraced her since the day we met her in Thailand. We would never snub her."

Jay explained that the Lowe family is busy preparing three events scheduled for the couple ahead of their televised wedding in January 2014.

"We have hundreds of people involved with getting these three major events under way in preparation for their January wedding," Jay told MailOnline. "We have at least two bridal showers under way. We have a third party too that my wife is planning, you would have to ask her about that. But for certain we have a lot of festivities in the works."

As for the claim that Giudici is not "Christian enough and too edgy" for his son, Jay said the Seattle native is "one of the most devout Christians" he's ever encountered.

"She and Sean go to Bible study every Tuesday and Wednesday, and they go to church every Sunday," he added.

Lowe's father also denied the report that his son and future daughter-in-law agreed to walk down the aisle live on television because they were offered a hefty sum of money.

"They are not marrying for money, they are marrying for love," he shared. "They would get married in our backyard if they had to, but ABC graciously asked them to marry on television for the fans."

Jay was responding to a recent E! News report, which included an insider's claim that the couple was "making roughly the same amount as [Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum]."

Rosenbaum proposed to Hebert on the season 7 finale of The Bachelorette, which aired in August 2011. They later tied the knot as seen in a December 2012 ABC special.

Earlier in October, Sean and Giudici visited Good Morning America where they announced that they will wed on Jan. 26, 2013. It will be the first Bachelor wedding to air live.
